lumps in left abdomenFrom: Mary (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 2 Feb 2003 22:43:08 -0600 (CST)
Last month during my annual OB-GYN visit, my Dr. was unable to feel my left ovary. She mentioned that the area felt very full and that could be due to bowel. A few months ago, I also noticed small lumps in this general area as well (outer left abdomen, just inside hip bone, starting slightly above where I believe the ovaries are and go upwards towards the top of my hip). The lumps are verical (up and down) and roundish/ovalish in shape. I only feel them when lying down on my back. At first I passed this off as being bowel in my intestines but they do not go away after bowel movements. The lumps are not sensitive to the touch but I have noticed a very dull ache in this region. Any ideas? I am going back to my OB-GYN next week to check the ovary again at her recommendation.
