Re: ovarian cystsFrom: Elaine (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 1 Feb 2003 14:14:45 -0600 (CST)
I don't know if it's common, but they found a cyst on my left ovary 3 weeks post op from the TAH. I just had it rechecked after three months and it's doubled in size. I'll have it surgically removed in Feb. Darn thing hurts!!! I've never heard of them "falling into the uterus" to begin with, so I can't comment on that. Normally, a simple fluid filled cyst will shrink on its own after several months. If they don't and reach a certain size (or are causing pain) your doctor may suggest surgery to remove it.
