I am 29 years old and have been having lower abdominal pain for about 2 months. The pain is not extreme, just annoying sometimes more than others as it continues. The pain is the center of my lower abdomin above my pubic area. I have been on the pill for 12 years and a few months ago started taking the generic Ortho-Cyclen called Sprintec instead of the regular type. I had Chlamydia 6 years ago, was treated and cured. But since then I have bleeding many times when my pap smear was performed. Could the abdominal pain I am having be in result to the Chlamydia I had before and possible complications do to it? Or could this be due to changing to the generic birth control pills? I did not have any kind of crapping or pains at all until the last few months, so I becoming more concerned as it continues.
