I just got results from a colposcopy that are as follows: High Grade squamous intraepithelial lesion, severe dysplasia, CIN 3 Atypical glands, suggestive of adenocarcinoma in situ. My husband has had 2 vasectomy reversals. The last one was 4 wks. ago. We were hoping to conceive in the next year or two. My doctor is wanting to do a cone biopsy, but I'm afraid that I will lose my fertility and don't want to do this. She also wants to do a D&C, which is ok with me. I'm wondering if there is anything else I can do. What about the LEEP procedure with the D&C? Couldn't we do that until I am able to conceive? I don't want to do a cone biopsy until we have had 2 yrs. to try to conceive. Has anyone else had anything like this? I'm 34 yrs. old. My doctor thinks a hysterectomy is the best choice, but given the fact I want another child, she recommended the cone biopsy. I just don't want to do this! Any advice?
