After having my first child, my husband and I decided that the shot would work better for me, since I occassionally forgot to take the pill and when my daughter was eight months old I found out i was pregnant with my son. I did everything as directed by my doctor and never missed a shot well I only had 2( given every 3 months) before i found out i was pregnant, so yes it can happen if its meant to be!
