Jenny, if they didn't lance the blister, it would have been difficult for you to walk or not doing so would further irritate the area. It sounds like to me they did the right thing by breaking it and applying hydrogen peroxide. Usually you try to avoid breaking them, but there are times when it's the right thing to do. Keep an eye on the area. You should see new skin growing by now or soon ( I don't know what you mean by "recent"). If you see any yellow coming from the site or some swelling, I'd see a doc to rule out infection. Didn't the clinic give you any follow up instructions? If they aren't available and you're worried, go to the ER. If you even suspect infection, have a medical professional look at it immediately.

I don't know much about worker's comp, but it would seem to me that there are procedures that must be followed by employers in work injury cases. You might want to call the department of insurance in your state capital if you have questions.
