Hi, I recently burned my foot at work, a defective piece of equipment was the cause and I have a second degree burn on the top of my foot about 3inches in diameter. It blister up and is very painful. My job sent me to a clinic that they use for workman's comp. They broke my blisters, drained them, irrigated it with peroxide and applied burn creme, then wrapped it in gauze. I always thought you were't supposed to break the blisters. They also prescribed light duty no standing, and there are no jobs like that in a professional kitchen. I just dont want my foot to get infected. Is this supposed to be done? and should I see my own doctor? Will they even take me? because it happened on the job. Need some advice from docs or anyone. Thanks.
