please answer quickly-changing birth control methodsFrom: Neely (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 21 Jan 2003 17:33:42 -0800 (PST)
I have a question about changing my birth control methods. I was on Ortho Evra for 4 months, but was still feeling the side effects, so my doctor changed me to Ortho Trycyclin. So on the sunday after my period started, instead of putting on a new patch, I took my first pill. I also had intercourse with my longtime boyfriend, and the condom broke. Should I be worried? It was the 5th day of my new cycle, and I was wondering if it was likely that I wouldn't be covered and could be pregnant? My boyfriend and my doctor told me I should be fine, but I got worried when she also told me that I could come in and get a pregnancy test done. Thanks in advance!! N.R.
