Question on Wellbutrin (for anybody who has experience!)

I have had unexplained vaginal itching..have done the biopsies, ALL tests, etc., even went to a vulvar specialist. Everything is "fine." This itch is solely in the folds of my labia. NO DISCHARGE OR REDNESS WHATSOEVER.

This itch started during my busy time of year last year (tax season). The itch subsided after tax season, and I have enjoyed 6 months of no itching. Well, yesterday was my first day back to the tax office..which is located in my parents' home. I was only there for an hour, did not use the bathroom, no toilet paper, etc., and the itch came back with a vengeance. I don't know if it is due to the tax season atmosphere at my parents' house...my mother, who was my best friend, died 3 years ago and is no longer with us. It has been a very difficult emotional pain to deal with.

I called my OBGYN and he suggested I go on Wellbutrin: there is possibly a psychosomatic link to my itch, mourning of my mom's death, and the tax office, etc.

My question is: Has anybody used Wellbutrin for vulvadynia? Does Wellbutrin, 150 mgs, affect your menstrual cycle or female organs in any way? (links to cancer, etc.).

I am 43, no kids, and otherwise fine....my cycle is every 28 days.

Thank you for ANY input!
