cervical scar tissue - report

I have a lot of scar tissue on my cervix from 2 cryo's and 2 cold knife conizations. Normal pap smears do not get sufficient cells for the sample. I had to have an ECC today, which was one of the most painful experiences I can remember in a long time (was short but very intense.) My obgyn said the opening to my cervix was about the size of a small pea. Is there any way to remove the scar tissue on the cervix? My last conization was 9 months ago. Could it resolve over time? Not looking forward to a lifetime of ECCs, even if they were just done annually.

Thanks, Gretchen
