Actually you bring up a good point. There is already some movement to getting birth control pills covered for women, I could see the next thing being HRT. Do you have another gyn that took over his practice or that you can talk to? HRT is a very individual thing. There was much bandied about in the press when the WHO study came out, and it caused a big ruckus over here. Not all of it was useful, but what the docs suggested is that if any woman had concerns on Prempro, then to come talk with them individually over it. I suspect that would be true in this case. Good luck.

My health insurance company has just made the co-pay for my Premarin something that I cannot afford. My gyn of 30 years retired 1/1/03 and i am very much in need of advice.I have taken premarin for approx.9 years and had decided to(with the advice of my doctors)continue with it. The insurance company advises ESTRADIOL or ESTRIPPETE. i wish to understand the difference between these and Premarin. Also is there any national movement among women to force the coverage of Premarin. Thank you
