Re: Mircette vs. KarivaFrom: Kristy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 16 Jan 2003 13:20:05 -0800 (PST)
B and Kate, I have never taken Kariva but did take Mircette. I didn't experience nausea while on the Mircette but have on higher dose pills by taking it at the wrong times. Here are couple of things that you might want to try: 1. a spoonful of peanut butter (if you aren't allergic to peanuts of course) about 15 to 30 minutes before you take your pill, and 2. change the time in which you take it to see if that helps. It can take about 3 months for the body to adjust to taking a pill. If you still can't handle it after trying these things then I would definitely let the dr know that you want to have a change in birth control pills. ===== Kristy :) http://www.geocities.com/sokokl/kristyspersonalpage.html For women who are interested in additional support http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Endo_Vulvodynia_PCOS/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Zoladexforendometriosis/ I am a Medical Secretary who does a lot of learning from reading on the Net, books, my dr(s), as well as sharing my own personal experiences.
