I did some additional research to further set my mind at ease. I located this: "decidual cast, which is a cast of the lining of the uterus (endometrium) that develops from progesterone use. Women using depo-provera, Norplant, or even birth control pills can pass these surprising but harmless pieces of tissue". and: "The lining of the uterus when one is pregnant, other than the area taken up by the placenta, is called the decidua. The appearance of the normal liningof the uterus, by the effect of progesterone, becomes DECIDUALIZED. When an area of decidua is shed, it is called a decidual cast because it frequently comes out in the shape of the uterine cavity, hence cast". At the time when this occurred I had not ever, and was not using any progesterone products. Thank you for any additional clarification you can provide.
