The abnormal cells could be due to HPV (human papilloma virus), but not HIV. HPV can cause genital warts or other strains have no external symptoms. HPV is sexually transmitted, but can be spread without the condom breaking. I have read that over 85% of the population has HPV. Your husband may have passed it to you. You have to be very diligent with your pap smears to catch any cellular changes. Dysplasia is precancerous cells, but it usually takes years for them to develop into cancer.
