>Did your doctor actually examine you? Any doctor who would dismiss lengthy bouts of fullness, bloating and vomiting in a 50 year old women as "probably just gas" or a "subconscious wish to be pregnant" is not a good doctor. Go to another one, insist on a pelvic exam, colorectal exam, and an ultrasound. Depending on the ultrasound results you may need some further tests. If ultrasound is inconclusive, insist on further tests. If I were you I would want to rule out ovarian cancer first. Then go to a GI doc.
