Small lump on labiaFrom: Alice (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 2 Jan 2003 19:47:54 -0600 (CST)
I am 40 years old,and have many female problems,so Iam always at the gyno. I have endo and fibriod tumors. In the past two years I have had pap smears, colposcopy with biopsy, hysterosonogram, and numerous regular sonograms.Recently i noticed a small lump on my labia, smaller than a pea. I check myself all the time, and I do not remember this being there. I saw my doc today and she felt it and said it was probably a gland. She did not see or feel anyyhing she thought was alarming. Should I leave it at this...or get another opinion. I know that vulvar cancer is misdiagnosed very often in young women because it is so rare, and older woman usually get it more often. The lump does not hurt, and there is nothing visible externally such as a sore, scaling etc. Any advice would set my mind at ease. Thanks Alice
