Wondering if this is normal??

I am 28 yrs. old, had 2 sucessful vaginal births, 0 miscarriages/abortions. Before my first pregnancy, my periods would last 3-5 days. After my 2nd pregnancy, they lasted up to 9 days. My 2nd pregnancy was 2 years ago. I started my last period Dec. 9 & ended Dec. 13. Last week, I started "spotting" (looked like discharge tinged with blood) when I urinated. Afterwards, I saw blood clots (the kind I have when on my period). I have always had abnormal periods, going months without having 1, but I have NEVER spotted. I was also having lower back pain as if I was about to start my period again, which was a sign that something was wrong because I just ended my period a few days before. I am not pregnant. It feels almost as if my uterus is "clogged". What causes this to happen (if it is "clogging") & what is the treatment used? I have read about fibroids, cysts, endometriosis, etc., & have found some but not all symptoms to be similar to mine. I would also like to know what problems an OB/GYN would classify my being a candidate for a hysterectomy? My husband & I are going to try to have 1 more child, not before I turn 30 but not after 32, & with all of the problems I have with my cycle, (absence of period, or VERY painful cycles) I would like to request after my 3rd child to have a hysterectomy. I don't think it is fair that I should have to live with pain, & I don't want to be on birth control until I reach menopause just to have a period, which is what my OB/GYN prescribed as a solution to my not having regular cycles.
