The best web site I've found for information on hysterectomy is http://www.hystersisters.com. It's all about women helping other women. You can read and search without registering, but if you want to post a question, you do need to sign up. I registered last year, shortly before my hysterectomy in July, and have never received any spam attributed to registering as a member. It's a very caring and supportive web site. While you're reading other messages you might find that you can answer somebody else's questions through sharing your own experiece.

My total hysterectomy was due to severe anemia, after several years of problems. Though the monthly "hemorrhage" stopped it took me a long time to recover my energy after surgery. Even standing for 15 minutes was just too much for me, for quite a while. I had some dizzy spells and figured at those times that I was doing too much, too soon.

Slow down, take it easy. Ask for more help from family and friends. You just had major surgery, and need to be concentrating on YOURself, to heal. Keep track of what you're doing when you get dizzy, and report that to your doctor. If I remember right, I had a two-week appt. after surgery, and another one at around 6 weeks.

Good luck, and I hope you feel better soon!
