Surgery is the right thing to do! It's a large mass that can only continue to grow bigger and b/c it can cause more and more problems the bigger it gets even if later you decide to surgically remove it. Deciding to have surgery was the best thing that I could do. I would ask to have a gyno-oncologist there just in case(or nearby). My gyn-oncologist saved me from having a full hysterectomy and a colostomy because the tumors that i had were so complex and wrapped around my internal organs. Write down all the questions you have for your surgeon and set time aside to talk to him/her best before you are admitted to the hospital.
