I'm Mad At My Doctor And Need Some Advice..From: Maxine (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 23 Dec 2002 16:36:28 -0600 (CST)
OK here it goes I'm having a great amount of doubt in my dr and am wondering if I should keep him, or get someone else. I had a baby almost 4 months ago and I would think he would at least exam me right after the birth to see how I was doing but NO he didn't. When I went in for my two week check up he didn't even bother to ask how I was recovering or how my stitches were. Ok now when I go in for my 8 week postpartum check up I told him I needed a mammogram that my imsurance company had recommended I get of course he never sent me in for the mammogram. I've noticed that when I tell him I'm in discomfort he doesn't exam me the way he should and this deeply worries me. I of course have forgiven him dispite the times he has gotten alittle on the uncaring side with his wise remarks. I've still forgiven him and now I'm mad at him all over again cause last week I gave him a Christmas card and he almost left me hanging. It's like he didn't want to take the card. Of course he eventually took it, left and didn't bother to say Happy Holidays back knowing I was being nice to him. Now what do you think? Am I in dream land for expecting alittle kindness back in return after all I'm treating him the same way I would like to be treated. Shouldn't I have been exammed at my 2 or 8 week postpartum check up?
