My doctor prescribed MetroGel which did nothing for the BV, but upset my stomach. I recall effective creams 10 years ago that did not have problematic side effects. I asked my physician who insisted that I try the MetroGel again. Will over-the-counter Monistat rid me of the BV? Can medicated douche work? Are there alternatives to Flagyl and MetroGel?
