COMPLEX OVARIAN CYST/ENDOMETRIAL STRIPEFrom: Pam (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 23 Dec 2002 14:29:03 -0600
I have recently been diagnosed with a complex ovarian cyst (5cm) with internal debris in the dependent portion along with several cervical nabothian cysts. The vaginal sonogram was taken 6 days before my period was scheduled and my endometrial stripe is thickened at 13mm. My last period never came. I am scheduled for another ultrasound in two weeks. I am 39 years old with 2 children delivered by c-sections. I have been having pain in my lower abdomen, my groin area and my lower back for several months. During my last period, I had to change my tampons every 30 minutes. I have also been extremely tired and have constipation. Please let me know if the endometrial thickness is normal for a 39 years old and what are the chances of this being cancer? Will these cysts have to be removed surgically or do they normally dissolve on their own? Thank you.
