Right Abdominal Pain - Appendix or OvaryFrom: Danny (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 18 Dec 2002 20:00:20 -0600 (CST)
Saturday at around 7:00 I began to get mild pain on my addomen (lower right side). It got worse and worse , I couldn't walk, roll over, or even call out my husbands name. I finally went to sleep. On Sunday am it went away. However, Sunday at around 5:30pm it began again and this time it got worse than the first time until again I fell asleep at around 3:00 am. I didn't go to the ER either day, although any other person probably would have. I even called the ER and the RN told me to go in, but I didn't take the advice. On Monday am I woke up with slight pain in the same place. I went to my internist. They did blood work, urine test and then I had a pelvic ultrasound on my pelvic and another one via my vagina ( I don't know what its called). So after all that, they found nothing! no appendix and no ovary problem. The doctor said I had some symptoms of appendicitis but that the tests were negative, i.e. white blood count, etc. . What should I do, the pain was there, it was excrutiating and it was in one spot. I thought for sure it was my appendix. The doctor even poked that area with one finger and was able to locate the exact spot with the pain. He said it could have been a cyst that disentigrated. So now what? Should I just leave it alone or should I go to my OBGYN. I should be getting my period within the next two days, but I know that I ovulated on my left side this month. (I get lots of pain when I ovulate) not the right where it was hurting. Pleave advice.
