Cervical QuestionsFrom: lynne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 17 Dec 2002 13:23:49 -0600 (CST)
I was having painful intercourse about a year ago. I went to the doctor and an ultrasound revealed a 5cm ovarian cyst on the left side. I was put on the BCP, had a repeat ultrasound and everything went ok. I went off the pill for two reasons. I would like to start a family and the pill was making me extremely tired. That was about four months ago. Now I seen to feel a heaviness in my pelvic area. I also feel very crampy during times that do not correspond with my period or ovulation. When I push to have a bowel movement, I feel a cramp on the left side of my pelvic area. It hurts a lot. I am returning to the doctor in a month or so, but was hoping you could give me some insight to make sure that I am asking the right questions. Also, my cervix feels bumpy. They seem to come and go but do not completely dissappear. I have had 3 normal pap smears in the last 5 years. The examiner has never said anything. I just feel like there is something more going on. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
