Your source is not correct. While the majority of cervical cancer is caused by HPV, this is not always the case. Every woman needs a PAP smear whether they are sexually active or not. Also, there are other gynecological cancers besides cervical cancer that have nothing to do with sexual activity, so you need a pelvic exam as well.
