Re: CELEBREX FOR PAIN AFTER A HYSTERECTOMY?????From: Kristy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 8 Dec 2002 13:53:17 -0800 (PST)
Angela, They gave you Celebrex for your post-op pain after surgery instead of something like Percocet? As far as I know it's not the norm to give something like this (Celebrex or Vioxx) in place of a narcotic like Percocet. I would definitely call your dr and tell her that you want something else b/c this is not helping. I know that my dr told me that it's not uncommon to give both an anti-inflammatory and a narcotic to take together for post-op pain but never heard of replacing one with the other. ===== Kristy :) http://www.geocities.com/sokokl/kristyspersonalpage.html I am a Medical Secretary who does a lot of learning from reading on the Net, books, my dr(s), as well as sharing my own personal experiences.
