Re: About Fibroid UterusFrom: Donna (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 1 Dec 2002 07:20:11 -0500
If the report shows fibroid then it will probably subside with the onset of menopause. Fibroids in and of themself are not cancerous. If your physician has any doubt about whether or not it is cancerous, he/she will do a biopsy or recommend a hysterectomy. -----Original Message----- From: anonymous@obgyn.net [mailto:anonymous@obgyn.net Behalf Of Manya Sent: Sunday, December 01, 2002 4:13 AM To: Multiple recipients of list WOMENS-HEALTH Subject: About Fibroid Uterus I am 55 years old and not yet had menopause. When I took a Scan report, it said that I have a posterior wall fibroid measuring 4.2 & 3.8 cms. Endometrium measures 13 mm. Could it be cancer of the uterus ? Is it better to remove it by operation or take some medication ?
