The procedure of choice depends on a number of factors, among them the
age of the patient, the severity of the symptoms, as well as the size
and speed of growth of the fibroids. IF the bleeding can be controlled
by medication, there might not be a need to perform surgery; on the
other hand, surgery will effectively eliminate the cause of the
bleeding, which in your case seems to be the fibroids.
