moved to the states about 8 months ago. found a great obgyn right away. one big question i have is regarding the frequency of examintaions. i am 27 years old, with no history of anything abnormal. at home, i had a pap every two years and was able to stay on oral contraceptives the entire time. after a year, it was simply a manner of telling them i was having no problems and recieved another rx. tis dr tells me that i'll have to see him at least every 12 months for a complete exam. everywhere else in the world, two and even three years is standard. why is it that here, every 12 months is standard ?
