Re: Painful joints after ZoladexFrom: Kristy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 29 Nov 2002 18:26:12 -0800 (PST)
Catherine, It can take some time for the Zoladex to get out of one's system but that joint pain while on it can be prevented. It is done so thru addback therapy. The secret is to take a hormone such as estrogen in a very low amount, small enough to deal with the potential side effects that can come while on the drug by cancelling out the post-menopausal side effects while the Zoladex tries to shrink the Endo. I did this kind of treatment when I did the Zoladex last year but the reason I did it is b/c I already have arthritic knees. Feel free to e-mail me privately any time. ===== Kristy :) http://www.geocities.com/sokokl/kristyspersonalpage.html I am a Medical Secretary who does a lot of learning from reading on the Net, books, my dr(s), as well as sharing my own personal experiences.
