Strange Pelvic Pain QuestionFrom: Marissa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 29 Nov 2002 01:57:56 -0600 (CST)
I have been having an intermittent severe right lower quadrant pain for about a month. My ob/gyn is not sure what is going on, so I thought I would post the question here in case someone can give me some ideas about what might be going on. The pain is in the right lower quadrant and feels like it is severe stabbing/twisting sort and is very sharp (up to 9 out of 10 on a pain scale). It lasts between 12 - 24 hours and occurs around every 2 or 3 days. At other times there is some residual pain (around 3 to 5 out of 10 on a pain scale). There is no other problem associated with it (no bowel or bladder problem), except I experience some bleeding around 12 hours after the onset of pain on some occasions, although not on every occasion. Any suggestion as to what it might be would be very much appreciated.
