I switched from Marvelon to Triphasil because of spotting every month. Spotting always occurred in the 2nd half of my cycle...usually around day 20. Today...day 20 of my first cycle on Triphasil, I'm spotting slightly again. I'm really worried that since the pill switch did not stop the spotting, then the cause could be something other than hormonal (e.g, cancer). I'm 31 years old...my mom died of liver cancer when she was 26, so I'm paranoid about cancer. I've had several ultrasounds & pelvic exams, and all were found to be normal. What should I do? Should I continue with Triphasil? Go off the pill? Very scared! If it was cancer, would the spotting be less cyclic (e.g., happening all throughout the month?)
