extreme uterine pain midcycleFrom: sameasalways (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 21 Nov 2002 01:26:30 -0600 (CST)
I had an IUD perforate 3 years ago, and ever since then, around mid cycle, I have extreme pelvic pain, as far as walking, running, jumping, sitting down to quickly or having some one pat me on the buttocks for example.........it feels as if something is jostling around and very bruised and getting hurt when there is any type of impact. The key word is "impact". It doesn't cause pain otherwise...but it just feels very bruised like something gets jostled from whatever impact and then causes pain. This has caused me to be very careful of course during those times (it lasts about 3 to 4 days). I just had a dermoid cyst removed and the doctor said perhaps it was scar tissue or adhesions because he said I have a lot of them inside me, and when my IUD was surgically removed, the doctor at that time said I had lots of scar tissue on the back top side of my uterus and that if I ever got pregnant again it would probably cause me a lot of pain as the scar tissue broke and stretched. Do you think that adhesions and scar tissue would cause this type of pain, and if so why only for 3 to 4 days . The only other side effect I got from the IUD perforation was extreme back pain in my sacrum for a week before my period starts. But that doesn't even bother me like the pain associated w/any type of impact movement during the midcycle that I was talking about. Thanks.
