My gyn prescribed the cream for libido though her preference was for implanted pellets. Neither of us want me to take the oral because my lipids look so good with the vivelle dot. I am unwilling to try the implants until I know what kind of side effect I will experience. I am 11 months post TAH/BSO with Burch suspension and ?plasty to my perineum for rectocele etc. For several months before the surgery she had me on a low dose birth control with an androgenic progestin that had a profound unexpected positive effect on my libido (husband stated "my old girl is back!") I use the villele.dot .05 with a tiny tab of estrace to the posterior introitus for comfort. What I'm really waiting for is for Proctor and Gamble female testosterone patch to come to market but I guess that will be another year or two. Since the PDR says that 10% of the androderm is absorbed systemically, I hope that will work. We'll see. (I'm guessing that without ovaries, and high ICS that my adrenals aren't supplying as much testosterone as they normally would. I already have buffalo hump and recurrant petechaie (sp?) on my forearm.) So, that's the answer to your reply and, again, I apologize for being scattered and curt before.
