I was scheduled to have a colposcopy with biopsy today, but they would not do it because I had spotting (brownish colored) yesterday and this morning. They gave me a pregnancy test which came out negative but said I may have gotten pregnant in the past week, and if so it would not show on the test. They gave me a blood test, but will not have the results until Monday. Can pregnancy cause an abnormal pap smear? If I was late taking the pill one time during my first month of taking them would that make me likely to conceive? I am confused and the doctors are not giving me any information.
