Paps are graded on a scale, starting with normal, then atypical, then Low Grade SIL (squamous intraepithelial lesion), and finally High Grade SIL. Obviously, this is a pretty bad pap smear, and the need for treatment after a diagnosis is made with the colpo is going to be high. Still, it is not very likely to be actual cancer, just precancerous and quite treatable.
