Cycle and Body in a mess after miscarriage 6 months ago

I have searched the forums and archives and need some help/support from MD's or people who have had similar experiences. I am 27 and 8 months ago I fell pregnant after having been off the pill for a month. Unfortunately I had an incomplete miscarriage at 10 weeks and a D&C thereafter. 7 weeks later I had a period which was rather normal followed by another 5 -6 weeks after that. Since the miscarriage my periods have been extremely irregular (6 - 7 weeks). Prior to going on the pill my periods were much the same but not as drastic irregular as now.

Since the miscarriage I have also been diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. I am currently taking 100ml Eltroxin. My MD feels this could have been a cause for irregular periods and perhaps the miscarriage.

I am now sitting with this strange menstral cycle. I should have had a period 2 weeks ago and the only symptoms I have had is sore nipples; slight bleeding and bloatedness. Rest assured, I did a pregnancy test which proved negative and visited a gynae who conducted an ultrasound as well. All looked fine but still no period - just a lagging trace of blood and nothing else. This has been happening for all cycles since the miscarriage. What is happening?

Needless to say I'm fed up and feeling quite depressed about this. I would really appreciate some advice and support as to what my condition may be as both my MD and Obgyn advise some patience and time - easy for them to say! Sorry, but I really feel like I've hit a low since the miscarriage and cant seem to remain positive.

Thanks in advance. - Apologies for the long message!
