Corbie,

I know that someone else had asked this a few months ago and if I remember right the answer was that b/c carbon dioxide is involved during laparoscopy that it wouldn't be a good idea.

If you check the archives of this list among the posts of the last few months you might be able to find it.

Wishing you all the best and make sure to let the anesthesiologist know about the problems in the past.
