the first time i went on the pill i gained 13 pounds in 10 days. i think its ridiculous to assume we just "eat more" when on the pill. which is what we are often told. Yes, progesterone does stimulate the appetite, but the pill also makes you retain water, and DOES make you gain weight. perhaps its because of how the pill works, it puts your body in an entirely different "mode". the second time i tried the pill, by the way, i went on a "diet" at the same time, and gained ten pounds. the two times i went on the pill are the ONLY two times i've ever gained unwanted weight in my life (no, thats not true, when i took prednisone i gained 10 pounds in 10 days....)
