Simple question about Yeast Infection (for Kristy)

Kristy,
I specifically did ask my Dr if I have any bacterial infections or any
other for that matter. He said no everything is clear(from the vaginal
swap).
I think that’s why he did the culture to find out if I have yeast
infection or BV.
Correct me if I am wrong but I thought the culture is the way to check
for BV.
