Lapidus M.D.: "Re: ovarian fibroids during pregnancy" I am ten weeks pregnant and just found out that I have a fibroid and further, that the embyro is implants right near the fibroid. My doctor said that I have a higher risk of miscarriage but that we would simply watch the situation. I will have another ultrasound at 16 weeks. How long does my risk of miscarriage last, what are the other risks to the baby that I need to know about (i.e., retardation or other). Is there anything I can do to help mitigate these risks?
