I don't know about getting it from the toilet seat as I thought most germs once dried were killed but who knows how long they were there or if completely dry. You can get them from shared sex toys if you are sharing it at the same time (meaning the same session). Not sure if once dried, this could happen. Some bugs live longer in air than others.

Something you can do to avoid the toilet issue is: Flush first Use a disposable toilet cover Don't sit totally on the seat if you can help it. Wipe FRONT to BACK (this avoids bladder infections) Wash your hands afterwards (as long as it takes to sing Happy Birthday song --in your head of course! LOL) Use a paper towel to open the door when leaving (germs on the door handle)

These are things I have taught my daughters. I know that not sitting totally on the toilet is hard sometimes.

You can't avoid all germs so staying healthy is a good thing too. Studies have found e. coli on movie theater seats and park benches. Germs are everywhere.
