I had a pap done in January of that year it showed abnormal cells on my cervix, It was only the second pap that I have ever had come back abnormal the first was about 3 years earlier. They schedualed me for a colpo and then once that was done they said I had stage II CIN and that I needed to have the LEEP done ASAP or it would turn to cancer. So I went in and had it done. I was under the impression also that the LEEP was only supposed to remove a small layer of the top but according to the doctor that did it she said the cells had been deep and so they had to go deeper.
