35 yrs old. don't smoke 2 pregnancies-nrml vaginal deliveries. No STD

June 2002-I stopped having a regular period. Instead I had thick black discharge that came and went at any time and flank pain in my back.

September- I went to see my OB. She mentioned I had a prolapsed uterus & she ordered vaginal ultrasound.

October- Ultrasound showed 4cm complex cyst with septations on left ovary and small cyst in endometrium. Contacted a gyn/onc (due to family history of ov. cancer)

November 1st- He ordered a second ultrasound which showed enlarged ureter and the cyst on the ovary had gone. But still no period.

November 7th- Went to my family doctor for a pre-op check up. He found blood, protein and ketones in my urine and gave me CIPRO.

November 13th- Yesterday I had a hysteroscopy & cystoscopy. When I came to the nurse said they had removed a polyp and neither the gyn/onc nor the urologist wanted me to follow up with them & they were not going to follow up with me!!!I think this is inhumane!!! I have questions for them. But now I am embarassed and afraid to call because they will treat me like I am a hypochondriac.

QUESTIONS FOR A DOCTOR: I have read that fibroids and endometriosis can cause ureter problems. Is this true? Can a fibroid be mistaken for a polyp? Are complex cysts and polyps connected? Is this the beginning of endometriosis? What can I expect now? When do you think I will get my period again? How long should I wait before I get concerned. PS: Thank You to all doctors who read and respond to questions that get posted on sites like this. I wish my own doctor cared so much.
