Kate, Please try using natural progesterone cream 3 weeks out of each cycle/month. Are you still having periods or should I assume you have had a hysterectomy since you were on Prempro? Progesterone will help balance your hormones and help with these symptoms. The creams are available without prescription in the US and can be found at health food stores and on the web. Also, you may want to ask on the WebMD menopause board (http://boards.webmd.com/roundtable_topic/25) for suggestions. By the way, I'm also 53 and I have been using progesterone for the last 8 1/2 years, very successfully. Take care. BJ
