Would like a DOCTOR'S opinion, but other advice appreciated tooFrom: Mel (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 14 Nov 2002 11:00:42 -0600 (CST)
I posted this message in the Endometriosis forum last month.
>>>In October '01, I had a hysterectomy. Endometriosis was found/removed. Ovaries left because doc said they were fine. In August '02 (10 mths later), I had multiple cycsts on ovaries. Endometriosis was also present again. The ovaires/endometriosis were removed. Endometriosis was found inside one of my ovaires. Now here's the question. I have started having some discomfort/pain on my right side. I told Gyn about it on my last post-surgery check-up (mid-September). He said he felt nodules that could be swelling from surgery, scar tissue buildup, or possibly endo again. Told to call him it things got worse; otherwise, he'd see me in March'03. I'm currently on the CombiPatch for HRT. In March, I'll be switched to estrogen patch. Does anyone have an opinion as to what the nodules are? Could the endometriosis be back so quickly? <<< Over the last month, the right side discomfort/pain has increased. It's not all the time and not yet affecting daily living. I'm fatigued. No doc can find a reason why. I've been under a fair amount of stress. One doc put me on plain Paxil 10mg once a day (taken a night). Now I'm more relaxed and sleeping better, but still fatigued. Should I go back to my Gyn. now or wait until March? My Gyn has mentioned the HRT may need to be increased to control endometriosis. My husband has said at times he has wanted to haul me to doctor to have HRT increased because I'm irratable with a very short temper. Paxil has helped, but I still have headaches, fatigue, and moods can still turn for the worse fairly quick. I'd like a doctor's opinion, but any advice is appreciated. THANKS in advance!
