Reply: samir fouad Aziz MD: "Re: [Birth Control] Alesse to Loestrin to Yasmin?" I took Alesse for 8 months and had no problems except hives, almost continuously at the end before I stopped. No one could explain what they were from and so I jsut stopped the pill. My own research indicated perhaps excess estrogen, b/c my eyes started to get dry too. Then I tried Loestrin 1.5/30 and only took that for 3 months b/c my eyes were way too dry and my breasts were swollen and painful all the time. Now I have been taking Loestrin 1/20, but have acne problems, severe bloating all the time and some hair loss. The eyes are a little better, but not great. There must be some combination out there to help me. My doctor suggested Yasmin but the estrogen is higher than ALesse and Loestrin 1/20, so wouldn't i break out in hives, etc?
