Re: what are the side effects of progesterone during luteal phase?

If you use real progesterone, not a synthetic progestin, in a dose equivalent to what your body would be making, there are no side effects. It is progesterone that regulates the luteal phase. The topical cream is the best way to supplement as the oral forms are a very high dose and make the dosing hard to control.
