Diana. It could be your ligaments pulling! It was for me.,...Unfortunatly, I still had my back pain after the hyster. Not the same pain, The hyster did get rid of the pulling and such; but still had it. If you are only having the hyster for pain reasons,....why not have a quick MRI of the lumbar spine first?? This will show you if the spine is healthy. Mine wasn't and I didn't know it till after. What bugged me about that was....In the O.R. they put you in all these positions while you are sleeping. Had I known I had a bad back, it would not have been furthered injured in the O.R. They would have been instructed that certain movements would injure it further. Maybe you could have it checked? Lots of us have referred pain from our backs into our abdomens. VERY common. Have a dermatome chart I could send you if you like. It shows what nerves in the back supply what area of the body, and why that area would hurt should that nerve be injured. For some reason, lots of us women who have had a hyster have problems with our backs. Ran across over 100 women now with the same types of things. Best of luck...By the way-the surgery isn't all that bad! Lots of us slid through it pretty good. Check out http://www.hystersisters.com Great info and lots of support. You can do a search there for back pain and come up with WOW info! Love Joyce joyneau@hotmail.com
