I thinkl perhaps your definition of a pessary and mine are quite
diferreent. Perhaps you are referring to a suppository. A pessary is
usually something that is solid and does not go away on its own. They
can be impregnanted with medication but are usually used for prolapse of
the vagina.
Amedication containing suppository melts and leaves the medication to be
absorbed by the vagina. In that case a persistent discharge more than a
week later would not be normal.
